| 50 foot rs232 cable, rs-232 cables.I am trying to connect our CNC machine to a computer in an office about 50 feet away. I keep getting data transfer errors unless I set the speed very low. The fastest communications is 1200 baud.Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I tried to learn how to make rs232 cables for cnc but it was too frustrating. |

|  I think the configuration at the receiver's end is to be checked, that is why you are getting the data transfer error at higher speed. |
