Hello, I have to communicate with a Maho 700 with CNC 432 Philips using RS 232 serial communication. I have used the parameters and cable from Cadem web site and also their NClite software (which I used successfully with other machines), but it didn't work at all. Does anybody run into the same problem and solved it (cable, parameters, commands) ? Thank you in advance Radu

You can communicate with this without problems. But you have to use this protocol baudrate : 2400 Parity Even stopbits 1 data bits 7 the cable you have to use is a Heidenhain cable. ( 432 is Heidenhain the suplier ) 25 sub D connector. 2 -- 3 3 -- 2 4 -- 5 5 -- 4 6 -- 8+20 7 -- 7 8+20 -- 6 The programm what you can use is V24 or Wincom. if you don't have these let me know I will send it. You have to uesed the button DATA/IN/OUT ( DATA IN/UIT ) susc6 Jan Kuenen

the 432 cotrol has a stanard rs 232 serial port. The way it commuicates can be set in the machine constansts starting at 770the the baud and every thing else is is set there. three wire x on xoff and hardware hand shake. the pin outs you can find anywhare. the setup is a null modem. PS You don't have to spend any money for hardware or software this control talk to anything useing rs 232
