| db9 video adapters Hi everyone!I have some old CNC equipment that the monitors are nearing end of life. I was wondering if someone could help me find a device that will allow me to plug a "new" 15 pin flat panel monitor into the old db9 (femal) video card that is on the cpu. Since financially we cant afford to upgrade the computers/software it is making it difficult. I have tried several of the adapters from Cables to go (db9 m to 15 pin f) without any luck. Thanks for your help! |

You would have to get the pinout of your db9 cable and try to match it with your db15. Note that if your monitor has a different resolution than your old CRT, you might get unpredictable results. I would point out that we used a harmony world monitor at our shop to replace a mazak CRT monitor and it work out well dunno what your budget is I think it was around 500$US but you need your pinout, it has both the 480p and 600p options (480p is what is used on most CRT monitors). Also, standard converter cables db9 to db15 usually do not really match CNC CRT monitor cables as they do not use those standards, so those cables will not work: you have to make your own, just solder the proper wires of the cable to the proper pins.Cheers. |
