I had invested (not much money) in a drill press when I first started setting up my CNC business. I would like to look into souping it up instead of buying a nicer one just yet. Does anyone have any ideas on using maybe a Quill DRO or maybe a Super Quill Stop?

I have no Idea what brand drill, size of quill, or length of stroke. But! if it has a 6" stroke like most drills ive seen. Seems to me with a little work a guy could mount a set of cheap DRO calipers. mount them to a collar on the quill. Machine a stand off mount for the base on the head.
