This is a question regarding programming a Siemens milling machine:I'm fairly familiar to the Heidenhain systems, and from Heidenhain 430 (possibly earlier) there's a Cycle called "Tolerance" (Cycle 32). The Cycle 32 defines the tolerance the machine can make a "shortcut" when going from one linear movement to another. When running a program with very short linear movement the machine goes jerky, but with cycle 32 set to, perhaps 0.1mm, the machine runs smoothly.
Now to the question, is there a similar cycle on Siemens 840? We have a problem that the machine Jerks when running a program with short linear movements.
