dear siri have a problem in referencing x axis the error is gross positioning error a the problem is that when the limit switch is closed of x axis it goes on rapid and hits the safety limit switch then this error comes to resolve this problem i have checked the following thing 1the limit switch voltage is on one side when the limit switch is closed ie limit switches aree corect 2 i have swaped the drives but same is the result 3 i have swaped th encoders same result 4 checked all the wires of encoders drives they ar all ok i think the prob is in controll which gives high voltage instead of referencing when touching the limits

Check limit switch, there is your problem. Compare with other axis l.sw. functionality. t:Mr.Heidenhein

Mostly this problem occurs when an axis is jammed due to the play in slides. The TNC 145 Series are very old machines and they have completed there live span. The only option is repair the slide which is out of question, another option is to put leaner slides under the old V Slides and I know that it’s a very precision job but I have done this successfully with Y Axis and now I am happy that the machine is working ok. Also I have retrofitted with the help of a friend of mine with Stepper Motors / Controllers and now I am using Mach 3 software. Now my machine works completely 3D with no error. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
