Jim Stephens from Hurricane, West Virginia - Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAIN)coated end mills are avalable for high-speed metal milling. The coating is extremely hard and tends to insulate the end mill from thermal flexing. They are expensive. Are these a good choice for CNC wood milling? Would you make back the cost on durability versus other less-expensive types of end mills? Or is it just plain overkill? Thanks.
