Hello, I am interested in any feedback as to how to properly set up a file structure for cnc program files. IE:Option 1:
Customer - Part - Status - Rev - Operation - Files
Option 2:
Status - Customer - Part - Rev - Operation - Files
Option 3:
Customer - Part - Rev - Operation - Status - Files
The Status folder would either be active, proofing, archive, etc. Files would be moved from one status to the next as they are engineered and approved.
I plan on using a DNC system to automate the transfer of the file from the server to the machine, so it has to be a smart folder naming system for the DNC software to use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
