Hello, I'm experencing troubles with my ATC not stoping in the right place now causing the tool to not load and jam up. When I rotate the turret it stops in position and then rotates some more out of position. I look at the geniva gear and it is out of position more that 1/4 turn. I can even turn the turret by hand a little. Is the sensor suposed to stop the motor at a specific position?? What could this be?

From th ecommand mode enter "setp" scroll thru the options and look for "ATC orientation factor" or something like that. It will be a number from 1 to 30 "I think, it tells you" A bigger number rund the geneva driver longer and a smaller number a lesser time. Usaully, a good cleaning will fix most ATC problems.Good luck Paul

I have a fadal 4020 that will not move in rapid when table is jog off it home position. Plainly put, it will "not" return to cold start position when you type in ho. It cuts out and displays updating memory. Has anyone had this problem before and how did you correct it.

Here is a link to help you troubleshoot your ATC toolchanger problem sequence. Some times there is a electrical breaking circuit on the CNC machine that does not react quick enough. Usually its some contactors unless its an actual drive. Also beyond this there are some camp followers that can sometimes break causing the ATC arm to run extra free and cause timing issues. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
