| 436 error on Fanuc 21i-TA lathe Good morning.I have a 436 X-axis soft Thermal (OVC) error on my Taiwan Takisawa lathe. I was getting a 406 error, but have solved that. I ran a couple parts just fine, now it's doing this at the same point in the program. Any help, please. Thank you. |
| The 436 is a software circuit breaker. I would check the servo tuning page(System button, right arrow softkey, SV prm softkey, Servo tuning softkey) and observe current draw at that point in your program. Also jog the x axis back and forth and watch current draw to see if you have a bad spot on ballscrew or chip pack. Good luck. |
