| DR SIGNAL OFF alarm HiI've got Dahlih MCV-720 vertical milling machine control unit is Fanuc 18M. I load from pc to machine's HDD cnc program but I push the program start button "DR SIGNAL OFF" alarm. How can I solve the problem |
| 1.Do you used hardware protocol or software protocol 2.protocol and cable have to compatible. 3.software protocol you can shortage 4-5 , 6-8-20 at cnc (25 pin ) 4.hardware protocol cnc 4-- pc 5, cnc 5-- pc 4. and cnc side 6-8-20 jumper 5. ic circuit was broken. 6.simplest way to check handshake signals, you can make a plug according 4-5 , 6-8-20 jumpered and put on cnc system. And then push read button. (no computer) If handshake signal is ok fanuc system will flash LSK or EDIT as like as cnc system is reading and cnc no alarm. Sorry my poor english! |
| the answer may be simpler than that. check nc parameter 0, bit 0. in many cases people accidentally change this bit when searching for a parameter. it is the tv check function. it should be a 0. |
| The DR alarm is always caused by missing connection on the cable. At the CNC end of the cable make a shorting link between pins 6, 8 and 20 and the problem will go away. If you buy an RS232 cable from a computer shop then the above link will probably not be present so make up the cable yourself. www.easydnc.com |
