'Increase memory of Fanud Controller'

Dear Sir,

We have Fanuc OiC Controller, the memory in this controller is not sufficient for running the 3D Programs. what is the procedure for increasing the memory.

You have a few options. You can call Fanuc and they can activate more memory for you by turning on certian option bits. This is limited to the hardware you have. Fanuc will charge you $$$.

There is a company called Memex Automation that upgrades memory in the machines. I believe they are cheaper then Fanuc. I have never used them but I have heard very good things about them. Here is there link.

A few other options, you say you have a Oi control. Do you not have a PCMCIA card slot that you could run the programs from the card instead of memory? Have you thought about dripfeeding the machine via DNC through the RS232?
