Takisawa Fanuc OM won't power up

Thank author of this post/commentI have a Takisawa VMC with OM control. The spindle seem to lose power while running a job and alarm buzzer went off. I was able to restart the machine and run spindle below 1k RPM. any higher will shut spindle down and set of buzzer. Thought it was the belt drive. The next day I turned the machine on in an attempt to change the belts. The CRT comes up not ready and the alarm buzzer goes off. I have checked quite power in, fuses and tried disconnecting the spindle sensor as there was a spindle sensor alarm on the spindle control readout. No luck. Anyone with any ideas? I would appreciate the help.

Thank author of this post/commentHello Greg,

If the spindle is topping inbetween then this problem seems to be of the sensor , please inform me if there is a sensor inside the motor or there is a external sensor. If there is a internal sensor then the gap between the sensor and the rotor is very critical if you have moved the sensor then its possible that it might not have been fitted proerply , its mostly a magnetic sensor

Thank author of this post/commentHi Greg

Pl confirm the al.no on the sp drive and check that the problem is with ort.sensor or sp motor sensor. As speed is not going beyond 1k it is related to the sp motor sensor only, remove the fan motor remove the cover below the fan motor, confim the gap between sensor and gear upto 0.1mm by filler gauge, check cable from sp drive to sensor u may get the problem ,
