|  The problem with the turret staying unclamped occured to me a couple of times after hitting the emergency button during a tool change. Maybe you have a different problem. What I have to do with the lathes I'm working with is aligning the tool as exactly as possible to the center and power it on. It should then clamp again once you index the turret. You may have to adjust the tool position again. |
| You can, on some hitachi seiki machines, press the "call light" button and hold it in, and at the same time press the turret index buttons to get the turret in the down position, and then press the reset button to clear the alarm |
| We have two machine hitachi seiki model HT20J and to clamp the turret we need power on the machine , you see the hydraulic pressure up, then push emergency stop, after at the same time 3 different button : push spindle stop, tape button and feed hold. to unclamping turret Punh :spindle stop, Selec button and feed hold. |
