Thank author of this post/comment"Meldas 300 series"

The machine is Meldas 320 and the rack is composed from left to right as follow:

MC411 - MC461

MC413 - MC712

MC111

MC721

FREE

MC611

MC303

MC301

PD21B

The rack is MC021BP_M

I found the hw/sw manual.

Now the problem on machine is that the command bottons on the console doesn't they give a correct response and they aren't utilizable.

If I remove MC411 the console works properly in japan language.

I found in the manual how to change in english but without MC411 the machine doesn't work.

Question:

If I change MC411 with another MC411 bought used, I need to install some software on the eprom and if yes how I can manage it?

Thank you

Maurizio

Hi , this is for my machine-grapich card is mc 161-1, memory card is the same and I have pd19a.I hope to help you.If this dont work you contact me to give you a phone number from my servicer from UK.

Please find below instructions for fitting and re-initializing the control on your machine.

Fit the MC 161-1 into the slot for it in the NC unit, and reconnect the cables. PRESS THE EMERGENCY STOP IN ON THE MACHINE.

Before turning on the machine please make sure all the 6 Dip Switches on the board, just below the LED Lights are all positioned to the left

Turn on the machine and press the green control on button, set switch 1 & 3 (from the top counting down) to the right, turn the control off and then back on again. Reset switch 1 back to the left, turn control off and on again. LEAVE SWITCH NO.3 IN THE RIGHT HAND POSITION. You should now have 2 flashing Green LED’s on the MC 161

The Control should now have a display on the screen, but in Chinese and only 1 axis, we now have to set the language and option parameters.

On the buttons of the screen unit, press ALARM/DIAG Button, along the bottom soft keys on the screen unit, there will be an option with Chinese writing & I/F, press the soft key below this option.

In the Brackets type the following to open the machine parameters. ( 1001) ( ) (M). Press the Input Key. This allows access to the machine parameters.

Press the TOOL/PARAM Key, Along the Soft keys there will be an option with some Chinese writing & 2, ( I think it’s the second button from the left ), press the soft key below this option. Press the Next Page until you can see the parameter LANG (#13) on the screen, (Check your manual with the parameter lists for exact position of buttons and parameters). In the Brackets type # ( 13) (1). Power the control off then back on again, the control should now be in English.

Press the ALARM/DIAG Button, press PLC I/F Soft key, in the brackets type ( 300) ( ) (S).Press the INPUT KEY

Press the TOOL/PARAM button, press the OPTION 1 soft key, enter the parameter details as per your manual. Press OPTION 2 soft key, enter these parameters from manual, press SYSTEM soft key, enter these parameters from manual. Power control off and back on again. Control should now be a 3 Axis machine and have options set.

Open the Machine parameters again ( as described above in items 5 & 6 ), enter all the parameters from your manual including all PLC data shown in manual ( counters & timers etc ) when all parameters are entered power control off then back on again

Machine should now be able to work and move in manual etc when EMERGENCY STOP is released.

Just a few more things to set program area, canned cycles etc.

Press EMERGENCY STOP back in again. Open machine parameters as described above, (items 5 & 6), Press the TOOL/PARAM button, press soft key BASE and page down twice. SET Parameter FIX-P to 1. (In brackets type ( no. of FIX-P Parameter) (1), press INPUT. Press I/O Function Button, press ERASE soft key, in brackets type ( ) (FORMAT) and press INPUT, the control should now say erase complete. Press the INPUT soft key, in the brackets type ( 4) ( ), press INPUT on control. You should see the canned cycle data being loaded into the control on the screen. The control should tell you when it has finished inputting this data. Go back to the TOOL/PARAM button and reset parameter FIX-P back to 0.In BASE parameters find parameter EEPROM and insert 0 into this parameter.

Power off the control and power back on again; please check all parameters etc are set also you can now also set control parameters in the control as shown in your manual.

We may now have to set the tool magazine numbers and tool in spindle number. Easiest way to do this is to index the magazine in manual using the toggle switch until pocket No. 1 is opposite the spindle. Now open the parameters as described above.

In PLC I/F in the brackets type, ( R1954) ( ) (1) press INPUT Twice. In the brackets now type ( R1984) ( ) (1), press INPUT twice again. The tool in spindle and magazine number should now both be set to number 1. After referencing the machine IN MDI Mode you should be able to enter T02 M06: Press CYCLE START and the machine should change the tool to No. 2. If there is any interference between the Z Axis and Tool Changer, you can adjust the parameter Marked G28 Shift in AXIS Parameters to move Z axis position for ATC function. (ONLY ADJUST VALUE FOR Z AXIS).

After Approx 1 Hour, you can reset switch 3 back to the left turn off control and back on again, Once this is all complete you must leave the machine and control turned on (EMERGENCY STOP PRESSEED IN IS OK) for at least 100 Hours to recharge the battery or each time you use the machine you will have to do all this again. If you have away of outputting the parameters to computer when all is working ok , this would be a good idea, as if control does loose parameters again you can just load them in from computer, MUCH EASIER !!!!!!

This should be all you have to do, you can set the time and date if you want, this can be done from the CO-ORDINATES soft key and pressing page down until these are displayed,

Hello!

We just bought an old OKK maschine with a Mitsubishi Meldas 300II 86G control-system. The batterie was empty, so it lost all it's memory. Now I cannot change the lanuage back to english or german. I tried to enter (1000) and (1001) in the diagnostic and did the rest mentioned above. But I cannot find the parameter PSY07. I need to type M0 in the last bracket?

Where can I get the programming manual? I already have the parameterlist for this maschine.

Regards,

claudi
