It really helps if you tell us what the problem is.Does it not see the home switch? Does it not move at all? Is it in the wrong postition? Is your zero return "Dog less". What kind of tool changer is it? Let us know, Stevo

I don't think That I mentioned that when the machine says it is at home position it does not line up with at the tool change position.

I have never worked with a powermate or a Mori SH500. Do you have a macro that does the tool change? My guess would be that the home position of the machine has changed and you need to establish this again either via gridshift or parameter change of your first reference position. Now if your home postition is not the same as your tool change position more then likely there is numbers in a tool change program that can be adjusted or the tool change position is set up on a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th reference position via G30P() command. Has a motor or encoder been taken off or replaced? Stevo

"magazine,"
I have worked as a mori service tech for past 12=yrs. how far is pot # 1 from home pos. if more than 1/2 pot you were not in correct pos when you selected zero return. best thing to do is clear out the home pos. joj in rapid atleast 3-4 pots, I like to do 10 or so. at that poing select jog and move cw untill pot #1 is 10mm short of what you want home pos to be, then select zero return and zero out
