Machine trouble shooting

Thank author of this post/commentHello,

I am basically trying to manufacture a pulley but I am having issues completing the main radius area at the center of the pulley. As the machine feeds toward the backplate and begins to cut down into the contour of the pulley near the bottom or smallest diameter of the pulley it is either skipping up or leaving a small groove in the product. Always consistently just slightly before the low point in the pulley diameter.

The machine is HowaAct4L with Fanuc 11T-10TF. We are currently trying to adjust backlash on the machine ball screws but not having any measureable success eliminating the condition noted above. Any suggestions what else to look in to? My next step is investigating wear on the way surfaces. Another suggestion I have not gotten any details on yet is the possibility of some parameter changes that may be required.
